1. Introduction

llocal Limited ("we," "our," or "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This Copyright Policy outlines our policies and procedures regarding the protection of our own intellectual property and the process for addressing claims of copyright infringement concerning content accessed through our website, llocal.net, and our mobile application, llocal (collectively, the "Services").

2. Our Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality available on our Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, video clips, data compilations, software, source code, and the overall "look and feel" of the Services, are the exclusive property of llocal Limited, its licensors, or other content suppliers and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

The llocal Limited name and logo, and all related product and service names, design marks, and slogans are the trademarks or service marks of llocal Limited. All other marks are the property of their respective owners. No trademark or service mark license is granted in connection with the materials contained on our Services.

3. Acceptable Use of Our Content

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use our Services for your personal, non-commercial use. Under this license, you may not:

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by llocal Limited at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

4. User-Generated Content

Our Services may allow users to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, audios, or other material ("User-Generated Content"). You are solely responsible for the User-Generated Content that you post on or through the Services, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

By posting User-Generated Content, you represent and warrant that: (i) you own the content or have the right to use it and grant us the licenses set forth in this policy, and (ii) the posting of your content does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights, or any other rights of any person.

5. Copyright Infringement (DMCA Takedown Notice)

If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content on our Services infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") by providing our designated Copyright Agent with the following information in writing (see 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3) for further detail):

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., a URL).
  4. Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you are outside Nigeria, for any judicial district in which llocal Limited may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.

7. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, llocal Limited has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the Services and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

8. Changes to This Copyright Policy

We may update our Copyright Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
